183A PHASE III EXTENSION – Leander, TX – Existing Control Verification and the Setting of Additional Supplemental Control Monumentation for Construction

LWS personnel performed conventional control traverses and digital level runs to verify horizontal and vertical coordinate values provided for thirty-six (36) existing survey control monuments throughout the 6.6-mile project limits of US183a through Leander, TX.  Seventy-two (72) new control monuments were set, half along alone each right-of-way line.  Similar conventional control traverses and digital level runs were performed through the new control points to establish horizontal and vertical coordinate values to be used for construction.  Project involved approved TxDOT Traffic Control Plans and safety protocols, One Call to mark existing underground utilities, and limited work hours due to high traffic congestion.
